A friend referred Hamish and his ElderEase services to me. Over the past year Hamish has done a variety of jobs for me which includes cleaning large windows inside and out, a big garage clean out which included taking things in a trailer to the tip,  recycling at the tip shop and charity shops, installing garage shelving, cleaning high ceiling light shades, cleaning gutters and mending a garden table. Hamish also cleaned, sanded and re-stained a large deck with handrail and stairs - it looks great! Throughout all my dealings with Hamish I have always found him to be consistently friendly, good humoured, courteous, knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy, he always turns up on time and he is efficient, safety conscious, tidy and his prices are very reasonable. I have known Hamish as a personal friend for approximately 15 years. I have always found him to be honest, punctual, supportive and hard working. Recently he has started a company helping people with various chores around the home with a focus on supporting older people staying at home.

I asked Hamish to help with clearing borders in our 1.5 acre property which is fully surrounded by trees. We also have 3 large dogs and run a hot wire around the property to discourage them from escaping. 

amish was with us for three days in total and I was very happy with his hard work, clearing branches around the borders, preparing and piling branches ready for burning and ensuring that the hot wire was in working order. He is diligent, quick working and was very free making suggestions (such as using my car trailer to move branches). 

My wife and I were delighted  with his work, the cost and the work that got done in such a short time. I would be happy to recommend him to undertake work.

We recently engaged Hamish from Elderease to renew a 60 yr old pergola which was in significant disrepair. This was a job that had been waiting to be done for some years. Hamish completed the job in just over two days. This involved deconstructing the old pergola and the cutting and assembling the runner beams , horizontal elements and fascia. Hamish worked efficiently and I was able to assist him which I enjoyed a lot. There were no surprises re costs etc and Hamish kept us fully informed throughout. We were also pleased to have Hamish do some interior painting for us, We are thrilled with the results of his work and should add that he did a good clean up of the site on completion.

We thoroughly endorse Hamish as a trustworthy and multiskilled handyman and we would happily rehire him for other similar projects.
