My journey to founding ElderEase Home Care began with a deeply personal experience right here in Wellington. I saw my elder family members and their friends needing help around the house, struggling to find a reliable handyman and support they could truly trust. It was that specific challenge that inspired me to create a service built on dignity, trust, and practical support.

New Zealand born. My professional background has uniquely prepared me for this work. I studied Education overseas at Edith Cowan University, which gave me a strong foundation in understanding how to support people. I also worked as an Officer of the Supreme Court of Western Australia and six years as an licensed security guard for a private security firm, which has instilled in me the importance of confidentiality and integrity.

Later, I spent 20 plus years in the Information Technology sector in New Zealand. I worked for both government and private companies often requiring high-level security clearances, including Top Secret clearance, which reinforced my commitment to discretion and reliability. My duties required me to manage people and projects with pre-approved budgets and ensure clear communication with all stakeholders valuable skills that I use every day at ElderEase. 

Beyond my professional career, I have a lifelong passion for fixing things and believe that providing trusted handyman services is a core part of the all-around support ElderEase provides older adults.

Ultimately, I founded ElderEase to provide the kind of all-around care I would want for my own elder family.
